1. Establish Property Boundaries

Many homeowners simply want to install a fence to clearly separate their property from that of their neighbors. These fences are usually fairly short. If the land is undeveloped and the purpose is to keep trespassers out, then a 3-foot fence height is usually sufficient.

In a suburban setting, consider a 3-foot fence in the front and a 6-foot fence in the back. This will help make your home look inviting while setting up a more significant boundary for the backyard.

2. Provide Privacy
